KINGSWAY COURT HEALTH & WELLBEING CENTRE WELCOME Kingsway Court Health & Wellbeing Centre opened January  2002.  It occupies a number of rooms on the ground floor of  Block 50.  The Project was set up by local people for local people to help  improve the quality of their life….no matter how simple or  difficult things may seem.   It was specifically set up to serve all the residents of Plean  Street & Kingsway Court flats but is open to anyone from the  surrounding area.  The Project is best understood as a community development  project with a special focus on health and wellbeing.  It  believes that “health is a complete state of physical, mental and  social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or  infirmity”. (Alma-Ata 1978)  The Project works on the premise that local people can deliver  local solutions to tackle the causes of poor health and poverty.  It aims to resource and support local people to deliver local  solutions.   Registered Scottish Charity No: SC030788    Company Registration No: 375922 Follow us:
